Description
Porcelain Serving Plate or Underplate
A porcelain dinner plate with a diameter of 33.6 cm that serves a dual purpose: perfect as a serving plate due to its generous size, or as a decorative underplate ideal for a multi-tiered presentation with plates of progressively smaller sizes.
The gold rim adds a touch of sophistication and luxury.
A plate with a refined and unique design, featuring a reproduction of an antique map of Brazil in the background, complete with inscriptions referencing specific areas such as Campos de Vacaria. The map is rich in detail, including river lines and mountain ranges in delicate shades of mint and yellow, and even a gold-colored compass rose positioned at the top. In the background, typical Brazilian flora and fauna enrich the plate’s decoration with vibrant colors—a beautiful deep red and various shades of green. Superimposed on the map is a white parchment bearing an inscription that the artist wishes to highlight.
This placemat is part of the Amazónia collection, inspired by the book *Viagens Philosophicas* (Philosophical Journeys) by naturalist Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira, as well as the fauna, flora, and peoples of today’s Amazon. Developed in collaboration with Ecoarts Amazōnia, this collection brings together for the first time all the group’s brands (namely Vista Alegre, Casa Alegre, and Bordallo Pinheiro). A
portion of the proceeds from the collection will go toward reforestation in the Amazonian region of Mato Grosso through the planting of native fruit trees, thereby helping to preserve an environmental, cultural, social, and scientific heritage that is fundamental to the future of humanity.
The entire Amazónia collection from the prestigious Vista Alegre brand has already won five international design awards:
an IDA Design Award—Gold Winner 2019, a European Product Design Award—Silver Prize Winner, a Good Design Award, and a German Design Award 2020.

- Microwave: Not suitable
- Dishwasher: Short cycles at low temperatures are recommended. Avoid frequent use in the dishwasher to prevent damage to the gold finishes.
