The entire “Banana from Madeira” collection by Bordallo Pinheiro was developed in collaboration with Nini Andrade Silva, a native of the island of Madeira and one of the world’s most famous interior designers. This new collection pays homage to one of the island’s icons: the banana tree. Various features—such as the dark, rough bark, the large, lush green leaves, the delicate trunk, and the banana itself—are masterfully transformed into large trays and plates, small bowls and cups, stunning centerpieces, and pitchers that evoke a tropical atmosphere.
