The Mepra Lid, designed by Pininfarina, was crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail as every other element in the collection: no compromises in form, and no difference in quality compared to the pots it pairs with. 18/10 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish
The lid is made entirely of 18/10 stainless steel, the same material used for the bodies of the Stile line. The mirror-polished finish ensures visual consistency with the pots and casseroles in the collection and remains intact over time, even with frequent dishwasher use. The surface does not absorb odors, does not react with food, and requires no special treatments for routine maintenance.
The domed shape: function and proportion
The domed profile of the lid serves a specific technical purpose. During cooking, the condensation that forms on the inner surface naturally flows toward the rim and drips evenly onto the food, helping to retain moisture and distribute cooking juices.
