Vista Alegre

Founded in Portugal in 1824 by José Ferreira Pinto Basto, Vista Alegre is the country's first industrial porcelain manufacturer. Within just over a decade of its founding, it was awarded the title of Royal Factory — recognition of the quality achieved and its standing within the European fine ceramics landscape. Over two centuries, the brand has navigated changing eras and styles, from Art Deco to contemporary design, maintaining a continuous thread between artisan tradition and aesthetic research. Today Vista Alegre is part of the Visabeira Group and remains one of the leading international references in tableware and home décor, with a well-established presence in global luxury markets.

Why by Vista Alegre?

  • Certified manufacture and rigorous quality control. Every piece produced at the Ílhavo factory meets the standards of the ISO 9001 quality management system. Vista Alegre porcelain is distinguished by its whiteness, translucency and brilliance; Atlantis crystal — part of the group since 2001 — is recognised among the world's superior crystal manufacturers.
  • Designer collaborations and a wide range of styles. Vista Alegre works with internationally acclaimed designers and creatives — including Jaime Hayon, Marcel Wanders, Ross Lovegrove, Arik Levy and Patrick Norguet — who reinterpret the brand's aesthetic heritage in a contemporary key. The range spans from pure white collections to floral, geometric and thematic decorations, with pieces that are easily mixed and matched.
  • Sustainability and corporate responsibility. Environmental sustainability, social responsibility and ethical conduct are structural elements of the company's operating model, not simply stated intentions. This commitment is independently verified through ISO 9001 certification.
