Founded in Portugal in 1824 by José Ferreira Pinto Basto, Vista Alegre is the country's first industrial porcelain manufacturer. Within just over a decade of its founding, it was awarded the title of Royal Factory — recognition of the quality achieved and its standing within the European fine ceramics landscape. Over two centuries, the brand has navigated changing eras and styles, from Art Deco to contemporary design, maintaining a continuous thread between artisan tradition and aesthetic research.
