Lamps

Design lamps are the source of light and the mood of a space, follow its rhythm through the day and give it character. Choosing the right lamp starts with understanding how it will be used. A portable, rechargeable lamp suits those who want freedom of movement — from the dining table to the terrace — with no cords or visible sockets, often lasting more than ten hours on a single charge and offering adjustable light that adapts to the moment. A table lamp or wall sconce in handcrafted ceramic, by contrast, is made to stay: it becomes a sculptural piece that speaks to the rest of the room, where the material — the handwork, the glazes, the colour — matters as much as the light itself. For shared spaces, from a home dining room to a restaurant terrace or a hotel lobby, the question that comes up most often is how to balance style and function: warm, diffused light encourages conviviality, while weather-resistant models let the same lamp move seamlessly between indoors and out. Style consistency matters just as much: a lighting collection should sit naturally alongside the table, the ceramics, the rest of the décor, building one coherent setting rather than a scatter of unrelated objects. This selection features pieces from Zafferano and Ferroluce, two of the most reliable names in portable lighting and ceramic lamps.
