Desert Plants

Desert Plants Ichendorf: Glassware and Accessories with Cactuses

Desert Plants is the Ichendorf Milano collection designed by Alessandra Baldereschi: clear glass pieces in which the cactus, made of coloured glass, becomes the centrepiece of the object. There is a single idea at the heart of the line, repeated across many different shapes, which is why the pieces combine so naturally with one another.

Desert Plants Tumblers: The Cactus at the Bottom of the Glass

It all begins with the glass tumblers with a cactus, the piece that made the line instantly recognisable. Each pack is a set of 2 glasses, and the choice is wide: opaque green cactus with pink flower, blue cactus with green dots, green amber, amber flower, green, pink flower and amber. The design sits at the bottom, so you see it from above as you pour and from every side when the glass is on the table. They suit water, juices, aperitifs and long drinks served in a simple way. There is also a set of 6 assorted tumblers, handy if you want to bring every variant to the table together.

Longdrink Glasses, Mugs, Goblets and Coupes

From the tumblers, the collection extends to the drinks area. The longdrink glasses with a pink or yellow cactus have a slender shape, ideal for cocktails served over ice. The mug with an opaque green cactus handle and the mug with a blue cactus bring the theme to breakfast and tea time. For table service there are the goblet, flute and champagne coupe with an opaque green cactus stem, while the coupes with a blue, amber or green cactus stem are designed for cocktails and spoon desserts.

Pitchers, Bottles and Stirrers

For serving water or cold drinks, the line offers glass pitchers with a cactus in several versions: green with pink flower, opaque green with a cactus handle, blue, or with the cactus visible inside. There is also the bottle with green cactus stopper and the sets of 2 stirrers with the cactus as a decorative tip, useful for mixing a drink and leaving a detail that gets noticed.

Boxes, Candle Holders, Tealights and Paperweights

Desert Plants does not stop at the table. The boxes with lid feature the cactus as the knob, in blue, amber, green, pink flower or green with pink flower. The turquoise cactus candle holder and the green tealights bring the line to a sideboard or to a table set for the evening, while the paperweights with a small pot and the green cactus hourglass are conceived as desk or shelf accessories, and they also make a great gift idea.

Why Choose It for Home, Restaurant or Hotel

Clear glass is enriched by the colour of the cactus and fits very different settings: a home kitchen, a terrace by the sea, a hotel bar, a restaurant table looking for a recognisable detail. Those working in HoReCa can build a coordinated service using tumblers, goblets and pitchers from the same line, while at home you can start with a single set and add pieces over time. At Delbono Design you will find the Desert Plants selection by Ichendorf Milano available in the catalogue, with a dedicated page for each item.

How many glasses are in a pack of Desert Plants tumblers?

Each pack of tumblers contains 2 glasses with the same cactus. For more variety, the set of 6 assorted tumblers is also available.

Can I mix cacti of different colours on the same table?

Yes, the collection is designed to be mixed. All the colours sit on the same clear base, so green, blue, amber and pink look good together without any trouble.

Is Desert Plants suitable for hotels and restaurants?

Yes. Tumblers, longdrink glasses, goblets and pitchers make it possible to coordinate the service, and the cactus makes the glass instantly recognisable to the guest. For HoReCa supplies you can contact us for quantities and availability.

How should I wash the glass pieces with a cactus?

Washing instructions are shown on the page of each individual item. For pieces with a worked glass decoration, hand washing with a soft cloth is the safest choice to keep them intact over time. We advise against gripping them by squeezing the cactus inside.
